Society of St. Vincent dePaul offers assistance to those who have fallen upon times of hardship and personal crisis. Ways in which SVdP helps include providing food, clothing, housing assistance, utility assistance, furniture, and bus tokens.

SVdP is an international organization of lay people with presence in over 135 countries. In Indianapolis, SVdP has been serving people in need since the early 1900's.

For the eleventh straight year, Alan Shawn Feinstein, who is based in Rhode Island, will divide $1 million among hunger fighting agencies nationwide.  The $1 million will be divided proportionately based on funds raised during March and April 2008.  Only donations received that cite the Feinstein matching fund offer  are eligible for consideration. For any donations you wish to make to the St Vincent DePaul food program in March and April, please write Feinstein Food Challenge on the memo line of your check. Any designated contributions to the food program that you make during these two months will have the Feinstein matching fund added to your donation.  This is a great way to S-T-R-E-T-C-H our food dollars.
