The Love Your Neighbor Center (LYNC) is delighted to announce the arrival of a beautiful Our Lady of Grace statue on its grounds. This cherished statue is a heartfelt gift from Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove to both LYNC and SVdP Indy. Originally erected on August 15, 1956, the feast of the Assumption, the statue has long been a source of inspiration and devotion. Each year, the students of Our Lady of Grace Academy honored the Mary statue with May crowning ceremonies, celebrating her significance. Recently, the Monastery received a new statue from a generous donor who wished for the original to find a loving home. The Sisters of St. Benedict chose SVdP Indy as the statue’s new destination, ensuring its legacy would continue.
Our Lady of Grace is a beloved title for the Virgin Mary, symbolizing God’s boundless love, mercy and maternal protection. She is revered as a channel through which God’s blessings flow to humanity, serving as a powerful intercessor and a model of humility and faith. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Sisters of St. Benedict and joyfully welcome Our Lady of Grace to our community, inviting all to share in her blessings and inspiration.
