Giving back to the communities where employees live and work is part of Marian Inc.’s corporate culture. Through the company’s annual Run As One 5K, Marian’s U.S. locations raise funds for a local organization of their choosing, and Marian corporate matches gifts up to $10,000 for each location’s selected charity.
For the 2026 Run As One 5K, Marian’s Indianapolis location selected SVdP Indy as its local nonprofit beneficiary. Marian CEO William Witchger II reached out to SVdP Indy Philanthropy Director Wendy Harlow with the invitation to participate and the news that the Indianapolis team would be running and fundraising in support of our neighbors.

Wendy joined Executive Director Peter Zubler and Communications Specialist Darlene Sweeney for the September 26 event, which began at Marian’s Indianapolis facility and brought together employees, friends, and family members for a morning of running, walking, and community spirit.

For SVdP Indy, the partnership is a meaningful example of what Love Your Neighbor can look like when a company gives its people an opportunity to come together around the needs of its local community. We are deeply grateful to Marian Inc., the Witchger family, Marian’s Indianapolis employees, and everyone who participated in or supported this year’s 5K. Their generosity strengthens our ability to serve neighbors throughout Central and Southern Indiana.

Corporate partnerships can take many forms—from volunteer service and event participation to financial support and year-round engagement. Organizations interested in exploring how their team can make an impact with SVdP Indy are invited to connect with our Philanthropy team at philanthropy@svdpindy.org.
