What an extraordinary evening—and an extraordinary expression of generosity!
Friends of SVdP Indy came together for the 2026 Summer Soiree and raised a record-breaking $328,357 to support our mission and serve neighbors in need throughout Central and Southern Indiana.
One of the most inspiring moments of the evening came when guests rallied around our new kitchen project at the Distribution Center. Together, they contributed $67,735—nearly twice our $35,000 goal for completing the kitchen space. Those gifts bring us significantly closer to completing the entire 3,000-square-foot kitchen, dining, storage, pantry and training facility. Once complete, this new space will expand our ability to provide food, hospitality and support to the neighbors we serve.
Generosity could be felt throughout the evening. Our live and silent auctions generated nearly $90,000 in bids and in-kind contributions, while guests attending the pre-reception helped provide more than 2,000 pounds of lean protein, including chicken and fish, for distribution through our food pantry. Thanks to an anonymous underwriter, every dollar from pre-reception tickets went directly toward that food purchase.
But the Summer Soiree is about more than dollars raised. It is about a community coming together around a shared belief in loving and serving our neighbors with dignity, compassion and hope.
