St Anthony to taking care of our calls on almost a daily basis. Giving our neighbors options if we are not able to help them. They are all appreciative of whatever we do for them.

We have been averaging 50 to 70 families a week coming through. We have helped a number of families with utility bills. Some to pay off the last $200, others we paid down on the shut-off notice to make sure they didn’t lose heat during the winter. We also gained a couple of new volunteers.

It has been business as usual with St. Michael’s. We have been doing lots of home visits and financial requests. We have been partnering with outside agencies to assist in the increasing cost of utilities and rent. We also held our first Stuff a Truck event of the year last Saturday and collected enough donations to fill up one of the warehouse trucks.

We are participating in the 40 days for 40 beds campaign. We have our first Stuff a Truck weekend coming up on 4/11/26. We follow that with our spring Blanket/linen/pots and pans collection on 4/18/26. We are still working on communication and accountability to our faithful parishioners, to help grow our resources.

We are participating in the 40 beds for 40 days program through the Indy council. We have a new Member and she participated in the most recent Ozanam training. We are planning a few more projects this spring and summer.

Our conference continues to work with new members to integrate them into our conference. We met with the new officers to discuss their roles and responsibilities. We provided training on home visits, the Hendricks County Help Database, and ServWare. We requested ID badges for the new officers and members, and we began taking new members on home visits. On 18-Mar our conference hosted a pizza party with our partners in helping our neighbors: St. Susanna’s conference, the Gabriel Project, Family Promise of Hendricks County, and the Christian Support Center.

The St. Monica Conference is still busy making sleeping mats for the unhoused.

A couple of us went to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School recently to show students in the fabric arts class how to make plarn (plastic yarn) out of plastic grocery bags. The students are going to help supply our crocheters with plarn.

We distributed mite boxes to our parishioners for them to save their loose change during Lent and will be collecting the mite boxes during Holy Week.

We are seeing an increased need for help with utilities and rent.

Beds for adults and children continue to be requested regularly.
