Indy Council President Nominee:
Information on Tom Adkins was distributed in advance of the mtg. Comments were solicited on his viability for the position. All comments were positive.
>> The consensus of the Southern Indiana District is that we endorse Tom Adkins as next President of the SVdP Indianapolis Council.

St John Paul II conference is in good financial state we helped seven families including (19)people . We received $7859 in January $4000 of that came from direct donations.

The upcoming April 13th conference presidents District meeting will be in the old Saint Joseph school building in the Saint Mark room.

As of 01 January 2026, Mary Lu Fisher is the new St. Anthony / St. Vincent de Paul Conference President.

Finance:
We served the following with Eviction Prevention, Utilities, Hotel (Homeless Assistance), and Household Furniture.
24 Families.
62 Adults.
38 Children.
4 Seniors.
Total Personnel Served: 104

We pledged $3,444.00 in Eviction Prevention, $4,501.65 in Utility Assistance, $1,323.40 in Hotel – Homeless Assistance, Gasoline Purchase $40.00, Clothing $56.06, and Car Payment: 60.65.

Total Pledge Sum: $9,425.76

Food Pantry Assistance: We served 863 Households, 262 Families: 530 Adults, 352 Children, 86 Seniors, and 13 Veterans.

Total Personnel Served: 1,068.

Total Pounds of Food Distributed: 21,955 lbs.

St. Michael’s Food Pantry served 94 households and a total of 337 individuals.

Our Make a Home project spent $280 on in-kind appliances and furniture, $50 for bedding and linens, $130 for a bed and $224 for other items.

The St Augustine Conference activities for January and February:
For January: 29 calls help 27 Adults 19 children with $4949.
For February: 31 calls 27 Adult 23 children with $3193.

During January and February, our furniture delivery activities have been busy. We went to 43 households and left $10,431.00 of in kind donations. In January and February we provided $1264.95 in contributions for rent assistance and $4061.13 in utility assistance for 20 households.

The number of daily messages have trended down but switched to more rental assistance requests than utility assistance requests. We will be providing boxes of food to 50 Floyd County families as well as Easter Baskets for kids 13 years old and younger for those families. We have started preliminary discussions with our Scout Troop to modify our food pantry layout to be able to assist more than 50 families during the three big holidays.

Assistance Report for January – March, 2026

  • Helped 16 households
    – Including 22 adults and 11 children

  • Keeping in prayer our members
    – (have experienced death and cancer in different families)
  • In January we helped 6 households, total of 13 neighbors in the amount of $886.96. Incoming calls 77.
  • In February we helped 9 households, 26 neighbors in the amount of $1130.00.
  • Incoming calls 79.
  • Still have not elected new President for the Conference.
  • The Social Justice Committee is having a Bake Sale April 18 & 19th and the proceeds will go to St. Vincent de Paul Conference. We are baking goods and helping at the Bake Sale
