So many people have asked what they can do from home to assist us in our mission to help our neighbors. With so many people home from school and work, we would like to encourage you, your children and your neighbors to start cleaning out your closets, pantries and garages. Most of us have an abundance of clothing, housewares and knick-knacks and there’s no time like the present to start your Spring cleaning.
We are in need of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing; linens; pots and pans, dinnerware, silverware, glassware and kitchen utensils; small appliances; and knick-knacks.
Once you have gathered your donations, you can:
- Drop them off at our Distribution Center 1201 E. Maryland Street loading dock from 10am – 4pm Monday through Saturday.
- Bring them to one of our drop box locations in Catholic Church parking lots around the city. Check out our “find a clothing bin” map for drop box locations.
Unfortunately, as of March 24, we are closing the Distribution Center and cancelling our Saturday pickups for furniture and large appliances until further notice. Questions? Ken Schutt, Director of Operations, firstname.lastname@example.org 317-924-5769 ext. 320.
Many of you have donated material goods to St. Vincent de Paul in the past and we are grateful. We are hoping these donations don’t stop during these unsettling times. We’re all in this together … thank you for praying for and supporting St. Vincent de Paul and the people we serve.
