Getting Help
The help line is a service that is staffed by dedicated volunteers who receive telephone calls from those in need. The help line phone number is (317) 687-0169 and is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays. (Closed on Holidays)
Alternatively, requestors may complete and submit this convenient Help Line Request Form.
A volunteer will call back on the phone number given on the Help Line Request Form. This form is to be used for help with household furnishings ONLY. Please allow 3-4 weeks for a volunteer's response to your request. Be aware that the volunteer’s phone number will be blocked, therefore, the requester must answer the phone to be served.
Note:
Requests for monetary assistance should be made by calling our Help Line (317) 687-0169 ONLY.
Typically a call in to the help line is followed up with a home visit by our volunteers to get to know the needy family and better access their needs. Referral slips are then issued and are honored at the distribution center located at 1201 E. Maryland St. Indianapolis. More than 25,000 needy people are provided help each year.
