St. Vincent de Paul is a busy place! Not only do we have multiple volunteer opportunities, we also offer training, fundraising and public awareness events. We also distribute information about area food drives and other current events of concern or interest.
Do you know someone who is struggling to make ends meet, looking to improve his or her living conditions, or looking for a new purpose? Changing Lives Forever can help! This 18-session program sponsored by the St. Vincent de Paul Society is free and open to all. Its purpose is to help individuals living in poverty improve the quality of their lives. The program matches mentors to participants. Participants have help finding resources to reach their goals for changing their lives. Changing Lives Forever will be held at the Martin Luther King Center on 40th St. The program begins Monday, Sept. 9 and meets twice a week. It will take place Mondays from 5 to 8 pm and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. for 9 weeks. A free dinner will be included.Find out more »
Once again the St Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is looking forward to partnering with Indy Irish Fest to collect nonperishable food items on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Military Park downtown. You will get free admission to the fest between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 15 when you bring a minimum of FIVE nonperishable food items per person. A Sunday highlight will be the hugely popular performing group, The High Kings, in concert on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be no passes out on Sunday because of this concert.Find out more »
