Once again the St Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry is looking forward to partnering with Indy Irish Fest to collect nonperishable food items on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Military Park downtown. You will get free admission to the fest between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 15 when you bring a minimum of FIVE nonperishable food items per person. A Sunday highlight will be the hugely popular performing group, The High Kings, in concert on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be no passes out on Sunday because of this concert.

There will be a Catholic Mass celebrated on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be on the stage at the north end the festival site.

The St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry requests the following items:

  • Nonperishable foodstuffs particularly high protein items such as canned meats, macaroni & cheese dinners, vegetables, fruits, and juices. All items need to be in cans, plastic, or boxes. Glass cannot be accepted. We are also restricted from accepting foods canned at home.
  • All donations are appreciated, but the following items are in most need: canned meats, fish, stews, etc.; peanut butter; all types of pasta; box dinners; various box mixes; cereal; canned fruit; shampoo; laundry soap; diapers.

Donated items are sorted and made available free to clients at the Pratt-Quigley Food Center, 3001 E. 30th St.
